Early Childhood Instructors

Narcisa Charris

Preschool Lead Teacher

Narcisa has 24 years of experience in Early Childhood Education and holds a Bachelor's degree and VPK Director Credentials. She is a proud mother of three and grandother of one. Narcisa is dedicated to teaching young minds and helping to create a nurturing and supportive environment.

Faith Servin

Preschool Aide

High School graduate, VPK aide, DCF Credentials. Faith is inspired by student growth and enthusiasm for learning.

Jorge Estupinian

Kindergarten Lead Teacher

Mr. Jorge has an AA and a BA in Early Childhood Education, and has been a teacher for 17 years. He is also a prolific reader and writer.

Jackie Corrales

Kindergarten Aide

Ms. Jackie has been working at St. John's for over 10 years, and her own children have been attending since 2008. She is a huge supporter of school activities and has been a member of the church since 2004.

Ada Caballero

First Grade Lead Teacher

Ms. C has a BioMedical Science degree and has been in Education for over 10 years. She loves to teach and shape young minds with love.

Erika Diaz

First Grade Aide

Mrs. Erika has been working at St. John's since 2019. She enjoys working with younger students, helping them to grow up into the best versions of themselves.

Natalie Trejo

Second Grade Lead Teacher

Ms. T is a proud graduate of FIU, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She is excited to create positive and engaging classroom where students feel supported and inspired to learn.

Joquanda Smith

Third Grade Teacher

A graduate of FIU and a mother of three, Ms. Smith is determined to give every child an excellent opportunity to achieve their potential. Ms. Smith leans on her experience as a parent, helping her connect with families and students alike.

Aimee Hernandez

Fourth Grade Teacher

Mrs. Hernandez graduated from FIU with a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice and minor is Global and Social Cultural Studies. She believes that our students' connection to Jesus is a powerful source of inspirationm and motivation. She strongly believes that our students are capable of mastering even the hardest topics/skills. 

Silvia Montiel

Fifth Grade Teacher

Mrs. Montiel is a graduate of the Catholic University Redemptoris Mater with a Bachelor' of Arts in Education. She has been teaching at St.John's for over 20 years. In preparing students for middle school, she focuses on fostering their independence and problem-solving skills.

Middle School Instructors

Daniel Carr

Sixth Grade Teacher

A graduate of the prestigious University of Miami, Mr. Carr brings passion, dedication, and energy to St. John's. He also teaches Economics to 8th grade, is the school Librarian, and leads the school in morning prayers.

Rosa Coronado

Seventh Grade Teacher

Ms. Rosa holds a Bachelor's degree in History and has been teaching World and American History, Grammar, and Literature to 7th and 8th grade for over 25 years. Her passion continues to guide her work in getting the St. John's middle schoolers ready for high school.

Lakshmi Nair

Eigth Grade Teacher

Ms. Nair holds a Master's degree in Science and has over 25 years of experience teaching Math and Science to middle schoolers at St. John's. She is focused on executing a curriculum tailored for student success in high school and beyond.

Carmen Guadalupe

Art and Spanish Teacher

Project Coordinator

Ms. G is a passionate and patient Art and Spanish teacher of 7 years at St. John's. Her goal is to help each student find their unique voice - whether through painting a canvas or speaking a new language.

Juan Marulanda

Music Director

Mr. Juan has his own studio, has performed all over the world, and has played with famous artists. He is a cultural ambassador for Colombia and writes many songs of his own. Mr. Juan works tirelessly twice a year to make sure that our students put on the best Christmas and End-of-the-Year shows possible.

Betsy Salazar

Computer and Coding Teacher

Ms. Salazar holds a Bachelor's degree in Applied Science and specializes in teaching coding and computer technology. She has a strong foundation in both theory and practical application, and is passionate about helping students develop programming skills and problem solving abilties. She focuses on creating hands-on-experiences and prepares learners for success in today's technological world.

Coach Paul Obando

P.E. Teacher

Coach Paul studied in Peru and holds a Bachelor's degree. He is recognized by the National Academy of Sports Medicine in New York and is getting certification from the International Youth Conditioning Association. Coach Paul's greatest desire is to see every child fit and having fun outdoors.
