We're very excited to have you join our family at St. John's. Please note the below key points for a successful school year.
School - Family Relationship - Lastly, we encourage each family to build a positive relationship with the school. Stop by and speak to your teacher whenever there is a concern, call the office if you’re running late or not going to make it. Donate items when requested (these count towards your mandatory volunteer hours), be present when a conference is requested. Volunteer & donate!
Dear Parents / Guardians,
St. John’s has a Parent-Teacher Support Group better known as PTSG whose objectives are to raise the money needed for items around the school such as computers, software, P.E. equipment, the building fund, and to get parents involved in the school. We meet once a quarter to discuss upcoming events and fund-raisers and work throughout the year organizing fun activities for the students. In addition, we organize and operate a Christmas Shoppe every year for the students and families at St. John’s to come to do their Christmas shopping.
Volunteering is very rewarding and lots of fun and the PTSG needs lots of parent volunteers throughout the year to help with the many projects and FUN-raisers we have planned.
The PTSG is very important to St. John’s School. When your child is enrolled at the school, you as parents are asked to do 10 service hours per quarter. The time and talent of our families are critical to the school. If you are unable to give the 10 hours, $50.00 per quarter is accessed to each family or a rate of $5.00 per hour. However, there are so many things that can be done for service hours. Just check with the office, PTSG president, or your room mother for possible projects.
Thanks for your support!
Here’s to a great year!
